You know when you meet someone and you just click… that was what I felt when I met Zandri & Cassie to discuss their desires for their special day. She is like sunshine in a bottle, and he exudes this sense of calm. Truly a couple I was excited to work with!
We went to their chosen venue, Campagne Living and had a wander around, bouncing ideas off each other for where they want to do the ceremony and the reception, what they want it to look like and feel like. They are sociable people, and it was important to them that their guests are comfy in the space and that they all enjoy every moment together outside in the gardens.
At Campagne Living there are two pergolas on either side of the canal where we could set up their reception tables, they wanted to be in the garden and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. So, we placed the family one side and the friends the other side and Zandri came up with incredible names for each. Prie (pray) for the family side and Mange (eat) for all their friends.
We then decided to get a designer to draw out a sketch of the venue and use that as a seating chart. Carmen from Salt & Earth spent hours sending me her ideas and drawings for the chart and it turned out spectacular! Such a unique stationery piece to add to the special touches we were creating throughout this incredible day.
The tables were minimalist and elegant with touches of blush, white and the added wow factor of dried pods and imported antique looking carnations to create a visual feast for the eyes. It was just enough to let the nature that surrounded them speak fluently with what we put on the tables.
Zandri was a dream. She looked like she could grace the covers of a magazine effortlessly. This woman who is so beautiful inside, was just as beautiful outside on her special day. The dress (oh my word I’m totally in love with her dress!) was breathtakingly beautiful as well and suited her perfectly.
The dress, with its off the shoulder design, slim fit and large bow at the back is a showstopper!
Cassie and his groomsmen looked the part with their trendy attire too! I LOVED the mismatched colour choices and no tie. It actually made me feel like they were wearing their personalities! Graceful and elegant meets down to earth and humble. The choices were perfectly THEM.
The day was perfect. Vows in the hothouse. Photos in the sunset light. Dinner and drinks in the moonlight. And tons of laughter at every turn.
Thank you Zandri and Cassie, for trusting us to be a part of your special day. I wish you nothing but happiness for your lives together!
